¨Unbounding¨ groups a series of theatrical practices that propose the stage as a space of intercommunication.
It encompasses:
-“escritura acto” – digital writing simultaneously produced and projected live
-“entramados”, “teatro de la urdimbre” – in parts of the play, a framework of interactions is given entangling different actant/receptors (audience, actors, technologies)
-instances of disjunction, simultaneity, repetition, chance, to create an autonomous theatrical logic
-generative spectatorship – the audience is invited to engage in creative activities (in this case weaving) as they apprehend the play
-activation of the company’s theatrical archive
-neurodiversity as a guiding concept to provoke movements and the sensorium of bodies
The presentation incorporates segments of “Prometheus Bound” (2001-2017) and “Prometheus Unbound” (2023-2026), performances by Aravind Enrique Adyanthaya based on the Aeschylean myth.
It also includes “Don Quieto Jardines,” a theatrical poem by Laura Mercedes Martínez, created at Casa Cruz de la Luna’s Itinerant Theatre Lab, a work-in-progress staged by the author, by Adyanthaya (director) and by the ensemble.
Ensemble: Laura Mercedes Martínez (actor/technician), Alain Esaic Bartolomei (actor/technician), Noelia Loiz (actor/technician), Lola Aponte (textile arts facilitator), Jaime Adams (graphic designer)
