The lab is a space/intensive time of experimentation which draws on the different notions of Kantor´s theatre to propose new exercises and creation processes. It is conceived as a practical correlate to the series of lectures by Dr. Michal Kobialka. It is thus important that all applicants are able to attend all lectures (in San Juan and San Germán), as well as the workshop component that will take place at Casa Cruz de la Luna, 67 Calle Luna San Germán. This would be the complete schedule:

 

-Saturday, June 3rd, 3:00-5:00 P.M., Casa Ruth Hernández, Río Piedras, First Lecture by Dr. Michal Kobialka

-Sunday, June 4th, 10:00 AM-noon, Beta-Local, Old San Juan, Second Lecture by Dr. Michal Kobialka

-Sunday, June 4th, 8:00-10:00 PM: Welcome and Introduction to the lab, Casa Cruz de la Luna, San Germán

-Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (June 5th to 7th) Lab at Casa Cruz de la Luna. Each day:

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Morning workshop session with Aravind Adyanthaya, Casa Cruz de la Luna Director

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Afternoon workshop session with Aravind Adyanthaya

7:00PM-9:00 PM Screenings and talks with Dr. Michal Kobialka

9:00PM-10:00 PM Reflections (On Wednesday, evening activities will also include a presentation of lab process open to the public)

 

Note: All conferences will be offered in English. The lab will mix Spanish and English.

Accommodations: Casa Cruz de la Luna is not able at the moment to provide accommodations to participants in its premises. We are trying, however, to find some spaces at the homes of artists in neighboring towns. These spaces are limited and the accommodations very basic. If interested, PLEASE APPLY AS EARLY AS YOU CAN and indicate that you´re interested in these accommodations in your application. We can also guide you to find a place in local hotels.
